Yin

Yin Yoga is a quiet yet powerful practice that targets the deeper layers of the body-fascia, joints, and connective tissues. Postures are held for several minutes at a time, often with minimal props, inviting you to settle into stillness and explore sensation beneath the surface. This practice helps increase mobility, improve circulation, and cultivate patience and presence. Yin offers both challenge and release, balancing the busyness of life with time to simply be.

Yin is not a vigorous practice, however, many can find the practice very challenging. Individuals who are tight can find holding the poses for several minutes to be intense. Others who have difficulty with quiet and stillness find this style awkward and demanding. All levels are welcome.

Please note: Yin yoga emphasizes depth, stillness, and sensation, whereas restorative yoga emphasizes comfort, rest, and support.
