Big March Energy (and a Very Cozy, Very Mustard Couch)
Ashley Campise | MAR 3
Happy March to you!
We know it’s not quite spring yet, but we’ve had a few glimpses of warmer weather lately, and it has been a dream practicing in the studio with the windows open. Just you wait!
We’re in the process of updating the shared space just before you enter the studio, and the mustard couch has already been quite a hit. Just last week, in between classes, students warmed water in the kettle for hot tea and lingered in conversation. It was exactly what we’ve been hoping for.
Connection between classes. Tea in hand. Community building naturally and organically.
That’s what it’s all about here at hOMe Yoga.
There’s a lot on the calendar this month, and it’s all designed to bring us together.
Friday, March 6th from 6:30-8pm Tim Applebaum (founder of Fox CO Yoga) is leading a FREE workshop. Master the Nervous System. Master Your Life.
Space is limited and spots are filling quickly!

In this workshop, you’ll explore Polyvagal Theory, movement, and breath work. Most importantly, you’ll walk away with practical, real-life tools to shift your state when it matters most.
What makes this class different is that it’s not just information, it’s integration. You’ll learn clear protocols and strategies you can use in everyday life to regulate stress, build resilience, and take back control of your internal world.
This offering is the culmination of Tim’s lived and professional experience; from time in combat, to teaching kids, to cage fighting, to years of yoga study and practice. It’s where science, embodiment, and real-world application come together.
Saturday, March 7th from 12-2pm Shea Radcliff is leading Sequencing 101. This workshop is geared towards teachers, but students are welcome to attend! Register here: https://www.homeyogamo.com/schedule
Friday, March 13th from 7-8pm join Jamie for The Art of Conscious Rest - Yoga Nidra.
Experience the profound restorative power of Yoga Nidra, often called "dynamic sleep." This hour-long workshop invites you to move beyond ordinary relaxation and enter the sacred space between consciousness and unconsciousness. Unlike traditional yoga, there are no physical poses; you will simply lie in a comfortable, supported position while being guided through a deep meditative journey.
By systematically rotating your awareness, you allow the body to rest deeply while the mind remains gently awake. This practice helps bridge the gap to your subconscious, releasing physical tension and mental clutter at their roots. It is a unique state of being that offers "true relaxation," leaving you feeling more refreshed than a typical night’s sleep.
This session is accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level, and is especially beneficial for those navigating high stress or exhaustion. We recommend wearing warm, cozy layers to stay comfortable as your body temperature naturally drops during the stillness. Come prepared to hit the "reset" button on your nervous system and emerge feeling profoundly grounded.

Understand Kapha dosha and its role in stability, strength, and immunity. Learn how to avoid lethargy and stagnation through movement, motivation, and seasonal cleansing.

JOIN US FOR SEVA on Saturday, March 28th from 9-10am
SEVA is a Sanskrit word for selfless service. Each month we offer a donation based class at hOMe Yoga. This month we are donating to Marcy's Project which is right up the street from us.
Find out more about Marcy's Project here: https://www.marcysproject.org/
In place of a class fee, we’re asking everyone to bring at least a four-pack of toilet paper or paper towels.

The mustard couch might seem like a small thing. But it represents something bigger, a pause, a soft place to land, a reminder that yoga is about connection as much as it is about movement. We would love for you to come sit for a while. Stay for tea, for conversation, for practice. Come and be a part of this incredible and blossoming community. You belong here. <3
